Our tail has hardly stopped wagging this week after winning Start Up of the Year at the Bristol Post Awards!
To reach the shortlist was enough to make us smile, but to be chosen as the winners was such a delight – and now we are going to have to find another place on our mantelpiece for this award! Our founder Gareth collected the award in person with friend and business associate Caroline Macdonald of OggaDoon, and when asked about the award, said:
“Being chosen as the Start Up of the Year by Bristol Post is such a surprise, and we feel very humbled to have been singled out as a company that is driving change and entrepreneurship here in Bristol.”
It was really an honour to be shortlisted with Everyone Active Stadium and Rovco, two outstanding start ups that we’ve been watching with excitement as they take the world by storm! Highlighting the ability for everyone to get fitter and more active and changing attitudes towards gyms have made Everyone Active Stadium a worthy competitor – and no less so is Rovco, completely transforming the way that we understand surveying in the energy sector.
The Bristol Business Awards puts Bristol businesses in the limelight. Every year new talents are discovered and known talents are celebrated, and successes across the area are brought to the fore. The Bristol Business Awards are one of the most prestigious events in the area, and many from the business community ensure that they attend to enjoy the celebration.
Other winners of the evening included Triangle Networks and CityFibre: Gigging up Bristol for Best Technological or Creative Business Award, and GENeco for the Environmental Business Award. The evening was beautiful with a fun and vibrant atmosphere at Ashton Gate Stadium, and the best and the brightest of Bristol were out in force.
This week has been rather awards mad as we also attended the SPARKies in Bath. Now things will settle down and we can get back to doing what we do best: giving our customers more compute than they know what to do with.
