YellowDog has appointed Robert Gibbon as Vice President of Sales, North America, a key strategic leadership hire as demand continues to build in the US and Canada for high-scale, intelligently orchestrated workloads.
Across North America, customers — particularly in financial services — are increasingly demanding high-scale infrastructure along with dynamic workload orchestration. This includes building clusters spanning millions of vCPUs, multi-region cloud resources to optimise Spot usage and cost, and high-throughput meta-scheduling that allows workloads to operate beyond the limits of existing environments and fully leverage the cloud. Together, these capabilities give quant, infrastructure, and AI teams a seamless YellowDog “go-faster” lane when instant scale and faster time to insight are critical.
In this role, Robert will lead all North American sales operations, working closely with customers to support these fast-moving requirements. He will work closely with and report directly to Mark Noctor, CCO, ensuring strong alignment between YellowDog’s commercial strategy and its continued focus on intelligently orchestrated workload acceleration at scale.
Robert brings clear expertise in building and scaling strategic customer partnerships, making him well positioned to support enterprise teams operating at the bleeding edge of modern workload development. His appointment ensures YellowDog can serve US customers with a fully localised commercial team as this trajectory continues to build across the region.
Prior to joining YellowDog, Robert spent almost 8 years working for Equifax where he managed relationships with Strategic Partners including Amazon, Oracle, Microsoft, IBM and Mastercard.
Commenting on the appointment, Bruce Beckloff, CEO at YellowDog, said:
“We’re seeing a decisive shift in North America towards super-scale workload orchestration, particularly within financial services and AI-driven organisations. Robert’s appointment is vital as we continue to support customers running some of the most demanding compute workloads in production today. Working closely with Mark Noctor, he will help ensure we remain tightly aligned with the needs of teams operating at the forefront of cloud-scale innovation.”
Robert Gibbon added:
“YellowDog is enabling customers to move faster by unlocking instant scale and flexibility in the cloud. Having spent the last few years watching customers working with large data sets scramble for more speed and efficiency, I’m excited to work with North American teams pushing the limits of high-scale workload acceleration.”
