Collaboration combines efficient model compression and dynamic compute orchestration to accelerate secure, scalable AI infrastructure across Europe.
San Sebastián and London — 3 November 2026 — Multiverse Computing, a leader in efficient and sovereign AI, and YellowDog.ai, the intelligent cloud and hybrid compute orchestration specialist, today announced a strategic agreement to support European sovereign AI. The collaboration will help enterprises, research organisations and public-sector institutions develop, train, fine-tune, run and deploy advanced AI within trusted European infrastructure, improving performance, efficiency and control.
The collaboration combines Multiverse Computing’s CompactifAI technology, which uses quantum-inspired tensor-network methods to compress large AI models, with YellowDog.ai’s dynamic compute management platform for hybrid and multi-cloud compute. Together, the companies will support AI compute environments that bring together processing capacity, secure access, storage, networking and efficient data-centre operations while reducing cost, energy use and infrastructure complexity. Given current GPU shortage, ensuring maximum model efficiency and aggregating all available GPU capacity is paramount to all organisations particularly in Europe.
Customers will be able to use these environments for model development, benchmarking, optimisation, compressed model deployment, inference and sovereign infrastructure planning. Target sectors include financial services, life sciences, advanced engineering, energy, telecoms, public services and defence-adjacent industries, where data residency, security, cost, compute availability and compliance with European rules and values are critical.
“Sovereign AI will only succeed if it is economically and technically sustainable,” said Enrique Lizaso, co-founder and CEO of Multiverse Computing. “Our compressed AI models are designed to run faster, use less energy and operate closer to the data. Working with YellowDog.ai gives customers a powerful route to deploy efficient AI across cloud, on-premises, edge and sovereign data-centre environments.”
“Europe has the talent, data and industrial base to lead in AI, but it needs infrastructure that is fast, efficient, secure and sovereign by design,” said Bruce Beckloff, CEO of YellowDog.ai. “By partnering with Multiverse Computing, we are creating practical capacity solutions where organisations can scale compute intelligently, reduce bottlenecks and retain control of critical workloads.”
The agreement comes as European organisations seek alternatives to fragmented, expensive and capacity-constrained AI infrastructure. Public European information describes AI Gigafactories as large-scale facilities for developing, training, fine-tuning, inference and deployment of next-generation AI models and applications. These facilities combine AI-optimised compute, secure cloud access, high-capacity storage, advanced networking, energy-efficient data centres and specialised AI support services.
The first AI Gigafactories are expected to focus on three priorities: accelerating AI experimentation through optimised hybrid compute; reducing operational cost and energy use through model compression and workload scheduling; and supporting sovereign deployment patterns aligned with European requirements for data protection, safety, security, ethics, resilience and technological autonomy.
Background on AI Gigafactories: The European Commission describes AI Gigafactories as large-scale, industry-led AI infrastructure facilities intended to expand Europe’s access to advanced computing capacity for developing, training, fine-tuning, running and deploying frontier AI models and applications. They are expected to combine advanced AI processors, software and cloud technology stacks, high-speed connectivity, high-capacity storage, energy-efficient data centres and support services, helping start-ups, scale-ups, SMEs, industry, academia and public authorities build trustworthy AI on European infrastructure aligned with EU rules and values.
